For this project, I chose to recover a plain throw pillow with pink seersucker. My pillow measured approximately 16 inches by 12 inches. For my piece of fabric, I used a 13 by 34 inch piece (*If you are using a different size pillow, just add an inch to each side so you know how much fabric you will need).
I folded the piece in half lengthwise and ironed the crease. Next, I found the middle of 1/2 of the fabric. Using my embroidery machine, I monogrammed my initials in light pink thread. If you don't have an embroidery machine, you can always take your fabric to be embroidered before sewing!
After embroidery, I stitched up the two long sides while the fabric was inside out.
Next, I stuffed the pillow into the case. For the open side, I machine stitched it with the pillow inside (I'm sure there are more professional ways to do this, I just chose the easy way***)
